Ethan and Kylah are married, and it was the best day of their lives.

More wedding photos to come! We’ll keep you updated.

Thank you for being our people.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

We are the people we are today because of the wisdom, joy, comfort, bravery, tenacity, creativity, and so much more that we borrowed from you, our people. You knew us when we were just coming to know ourselves, as we explored what we were looking for in our lives and partners. You were there for us as we discovered and shaped our relationship, in all its many chapters.

Thank you for helping us get here.

Thank you for being our partners, cheerleaders, teammates, mentors, muses, and teachers.

You have shaped our lives more than you know.

Below: The sweet reactions of our friends and family as we shared the news of our engagement

(Is your heart melting? Because ours do every time we look at these!)

Our Engagement Story

Our Engagement Story

A geriatric llama farm. A baby goat surprise. A dog trained to hug. An estate sale. A ferry disaster. A dog park. A fake proposal. A cemetery. This story has it all. Except, well, most of the things you might expect from an engagement.

The Wedding

The Vision

We’ve spent the last five years as working wedding photographers, and have seen more weddings than we can count. Watching these expensive, beautiful events transpire has led us to reflect deeply on what our wedding means to us. We aren’t particularly interested in throwing your next Pinterest wedding, but we’re passionate about enlisting our community in our mission to help build and protect our marriage.

To that end, we’re hoping to plan a multi-day event that will bring our people into our relationship with as much intention as we can muster. We’re crafting a series of activities that will share who we are at our core, what we value, what brought us together, and where we may need your help as we move into the season of marriage. We want a wedding that feels lot less like a party / photo op and a little more like summer camp. We are dreaming of time to enjoy with our people, not a one-day sprint where all we get with you is a quick “hello”.

Seaview, Washington

The Sou’wester Lodge

3728 J Pl, Seaview, WA 98644

One block off of the longest beach in Washington, just fifteen miles north of Astoria, OR, sits a red, historic lodge surrounded by a gathering of lovingly restored vintage trailers. The property is a wonderland of art, nature, and antiques, waiting to be discovered by a wandering guest. This is not a place for pretension. This is a place for play.

We fell in love with the Sou’wester Lodge two years ago, when we visited for a short weekend trip. We expected something campy and cute and found, to our delight, a place brimming with magic. Each trailer is in perfect (vintage) condition, and beautifully decorated. The property has a sauna, cold bath, tea trailer, and wellness trailer. The Sou’wester is the kind of place you can visit a hundred times and find something new on every trip. When we began planning our wedding, we knew from the start: this was our place.
